- Kansas students are served by 94 virtual schools and programs, many of which serve out-of-district students and provide individual course and full-time opportunities.
- All students are eligible to enroll in a virtual school or program within their district or in another district that accepts out-of-district students, provided the school or program serves their grade level.
- Kansas requires virtual schools and programs to ensure that staff receives professional development in online pedagogy, communication, classroom management and student engagement strategies as well as training on hardware, software and e-Learning systems.
