      State Highlights

      • Arkansas continues to make progress in terms of advancing opportunities for students to access digital learning.
      • 2014-2015 marked the first year in which 9th grade students were required to take one online or blended learning course to graduate under Act 1280 (2013).
      • In addition, the current rules and regulations for distance learning and digital learning are in the process of revision in the state.
      • The state annually publishes the list of approved digital providers and schools also have the opportunity to receive a waiver from seat-time requirements for digital learning courses if they apply to become a School of Innovation.
