HB 2 appropriates funds to the state Board of Education and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for Fiscal Year 2014. Relevant appropriations include:
- $315,875 for courses, exams, and other expenses that lead to high school students receiving college credit and AP exam fees for low-income families and for science and math exams, from federal funds;
- $390,000 for the virtual schools program, from the lottery proceeds fund;
- $14.8 million for the performance based assessment program, from various state and federal funds;
