Jeb Bush Shares Power of Digital Learning with Leaders in Seattle

Seattle, WA – Today, Governor Jeb Bush and John Bailey, executive director of Digital Learning Now!, will meet with education and business leaders to discuss how Washington can harness the power of technology to transform education in the Evergreen State. Washington Innovation 2012 – hosted by Digital Learning Now!, Tom Vander Ark, and Bruce McCaw – is part of the Governor’s trip to Seattle to discuss the state of education in Washington and what local leaders can do to make sure every student is gaining the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

“Harnessing the power of technology allows students to learn in their own style, at their own pace, anytime and anywhere,” said Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida from 1999-2007 and chairman, Foundation for Excellence in Education. “A decade ago, customizing education for every student was just a dream, but today, leaders are emerging to transform education and provide every student with a rigorous, high-quality, customized education that will prepare them for success in college and their careers.  I am encouraged to see this fundamental transition, and I can’t wait to see what the next decade brings.”
